Community Day parade kicks off the day's celebrations every August. Events may include a blindfolded rowboat race or codfish relay. The day is capped off with a street dance into the night. The North Haven Lion's Club sets up along the parade route, selling food for hungry parade-goers.

Bring your kayak and explore Penobscot Bay. There is nothing like paddling into the many small coves or sliding up onto a deserted beach on one of the many surrounding, uninhabited islands.
Eat Maine sea food straight off the boat! Penobscot Bay boasts the best lobster fishing grounds in the country.
See the island on a peaceful sail, or go for an hour lobstering with a local fisherman.
If you dare, take a swim in the refreshing ocean water.
